New Pros

New Pros is the place for the fresh out of college, the slightly experienced and those who remember being new to the industry. All are welcome to join our diverse group of young people who meet regularly to connect with industry peers and hear from keynote PR professionals in all avenues of Oklahoma City. No membership in PRSA required.

Who is Welcome?

Although our group is aimed at the newly established, up-and-coming PR professionals, we invite anyone to join. Communicators of all ages: recent graduates, slightly experienced and those wanting to return to their roots in public relations, marketing, advertising, journalism and communications. Our groups is just as diverse as the industry of PR.

What will you gain from PRSA?

  1. Insight on relevant topics from keynote lunch speakers from all avenues of PR in OKC. We ask the speakers to share a relevant perspective aimed at our group of individuals over a variety of topics. (media, research, event planning, non-profit and government)
  2. Connection to peers in a similar and constantly growing PR industry of OKC
  3. The opportunity to try PRSA OKC with little financial commitment to you (membership in PRSA is encouraged for your professional development, but not required to be involved in New Pros)

Landis Tindell is currently the Digital Communications Specialist for the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education. In his role, he is responsible for video production, social media, publication design, website administration, and internal training efforts. He began is time at OSRHE in October 2017 after 18 months as the Communications Coordinator for the Oklahoma Aquarium. Landis graduated from Harding University in 2014 with a B.A. in Public Relations. He is currently pursuing a M.A. in Strategic Communication with Texas Tech University. 
Landis has been active with PRSA since moving to Oklahoma City and in addition to serving as the New Pros Co-Chair he also serves as the Professional Development Day committee chair. Kaitlin Stringer is the owner of Red Paw Creative LLC, which provides public relations and content creation services to small businesses. Through her business, she is able to assist a wide range of clients and also acts in freelance roles to support other agencies with any needs they might have. With her background in public relations, Kaitlin approaches her work with a strategic mind while keeping a focus on creative design. Before starting her own business, she served as the marketing coordinator for Alamo Drafthouse Cinemas and a public relations specialist for a small agency in Boulder, Colorado. Kaitlin graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 2015 with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism with a focus in Public Relations and a minor in Film and Media Studies.
