2020 may have squashed our design, color, and décor event trends, but it did not crush our need and desire to meet, gather, or plan. The necessity to connect is even greater now than ever. As virtual events continue to evolve in 2021 so does participation, personalization, and audience-driven mindsets that continue to dictate experiential events. Hybrid events are on the horizon and planning in-person events remain remote (for now). Let’s discover how to create engaging virtual programs all while respecting the mission and budget.

Brian Ferrell, CMP, DMCP, CTA

Brian is a serial entrepreneur and the owner of factor 110, Destination Oklahoma, 110 events, Blue Circle Productions, and Scissortail Gifts. factor 110 is the region’s leader in event and destination management, and the company remains the first and only destination management company in Oklahoma. Brian moved to Oklahoma to launch his career in event and destination management. Before launching his companies, he worked the communications/publications manager at Future Business Leaders of America-Phi Beta Lambda, Inc. (FBLA-PBL). Brian has been a member of FBLA-PBL since 1996 and served as the national president and on the board of directors. Ferrell has been named one of The Journal Record’s Achievers Under 40 and factor 110 was named the one of the top 20 fastest growing company in Oklahoma City in 2011, 2012, and 2013. Ferrell was named one of The Journal Record’s “Oklahoma’s Most Admired CEOs” and in 2019 factor 110 was named a Top Workplace by The Oklahoman. factor 110 | 110 events was named OKCbiz magazine’s “Best Event Rental Company” for five consecutive years. Ferrell received the 2020 Destination Management Professional of the Year, the 2015 JoAnne O’Connor President’s Award, and the company has garnered four international Achievement Awards in Best Corporate Social Responsibility Program, Best Team Building Program, and Best Creative Event from the Association of Destination Management Executives International (ADMEI).

Ferrell has earned the Certified Meeting Professional (CMP), the Destination Management Certified Professional (DMCP), and Certified Tourism Ambassador (CTA) designations. Ferrell served as a president for the Association of Destination Management Executives International and currently serves as a board member for the Oklahoma Travel Industry Association, the ADMEI Certification & Accreditation Board, and the Virginia FBLA-PBL Foundation. He holds additional memberships in the American Rental Association, Meeting Professional International, Oklahoma Society of Association Executives, The Oklahoma Academy, State Chamber of Oklahoma, and Future Business Leaders of America-Phi Beta Lambda, Inc. He is an honorary member of the FarmHouse Fraternity. Ferrell earned a Bachelor of Integrated Studies in journalism, communications, and business from Emporia State University in Kansas.
