As communicators, we frequently hear video is one of the most effective ways to increase engagement on social media channels. More and more people are consuming social media – and videos placed on social media channels – on the go, so how do you mobilize your multimedia production efforts for well, mobile? Learn how to easily adapt existing resources to capture and retain audiences on social media.

In this discussion we’ll hear from Hayley Fick, social media manager for the Johnson Space Center in Houston, on how to maximize videos to resonate with audiences on different social media channels. While space is super cool, not all space missions are jam-packed with excitement that speaks to us earthlings in an impactful way. Fick will share examples of how her team tweaks content to speak to all audiences.

About the speaker:

Hayley Fick is the Social Media Manager at NASA’s Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas. There she works on social media strategy, video productions, and live coverage of human spaceflight missions. She graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a B.S. in Public Relations in 2015 and participated in UT’s PRSSA chapter during her time on campus. Before starting full time at NASA, she joined their team as an intern in college.
