The following position is available with the Oklahoma Department of Career and Technology Education.

 

 

Communications and Marketing Manager

Coordinate and oversee the work of the following functional areas: Communications & Marketing, Education Technology Resources and Creative Services.

 

Requires bachelor’s degree in public relations, communications or marketing and a minimum of five years’ related experience. Experience in school public relations/communications/marketing preferred.

 

Position located in Stillwater, OK.

 

Duties/Essential Functions:

  • Annually update the ODCTE Communications Plan and ensure plan is communicated and carried out.
  • Coordinate media relations program. Direct work of staff in areas of press releases, media alerts and developing relationships with all media outlets to communicate the value of the CareerTech System.
  • Coordinate special projects as requested, such as Journal Record projects and special publications.
  • Manage and implement internal communications.
  • Coordinate photography for internal events and all marketing projects.
  • Annually update the crisis communications plan and coordinate emergency notifications.
  • Coordinate social media participation by agency staff and ensure social media policy is adhered to.

 

Salary/Benefits: $59,575 - $68,511commensurate with education or experience. Health, dental, life and disability insurance; flexible benefits plan; teacher’s retirement; vacation/sick leave; paid holidays; employee assistance program; and flex-time options. Total salary and benefits package valued at $72,352 - $81,961.
