PR360 is our local chapter’s public service event! PRSA-OKC has previously partnered with local nonprofits who needed help with their campaigns, special events and/or communication plans. For the past several years, several organizations were invited to showcase their organization and recruit volunteers at our June meeting.

Our June meeting focuses on topics to benefit nonprofits in the Oklahoma City community. Previously The Children's Center Rehabilitation Hospital spoke on rebranding and The Birthday Party Project shared their strategy for organic growth and awareness.

In 2018, PRSA-OKC will be joined by Children's Miracle Network (CMN) Hospitals to discuss using content marketing to drive awareness and donations.

Besides providing expert knowledge to area nonprofits, PRSA-OKC is also committed to providing back. This year, donations will be collected for the Oklahoma Children's Hospital Foundation (CHF), the local CMN Hospital. Children treated at the Children's Hospital emergency room often lack essential items so CHF is asking attendees of the June meeting to bring nonperishable items they can offer to children and families who visit their facility.

Please bring as many of the following items as possible to the meeting:

  • Canned vegetables
  • Fruit and canned meats
  • Baby food jars
  • Dried fruits
  • Beef jerky
  • Peanut butter/cheese crackers
  • Fruit snacks
  • Fruit roll ups
  • Pre-packaged snack foods (Cheez-It crackers)
  • Animal crackers
  • Small bottled water
  • Juice boxes

Children’s Hospital Foundation improves the health of children through its support of research, education and clinical care at the Oklahoma Health Center. Funding for programs is made possible through the efforts of a dedicated volunteer board, thousands of community volunteers and donors. Through endowments and direct support, CHF recruits and retains nationally and internationally recognized pediatric physician-scientists to direct research, treat patients and train medical students.

All funds raised in Oklahoma stay in Oklahoma so that families don’t have to leave the state to receive specialized care. CHF serves children in all 77 counties, including out-of-state patients.

No child is ever turned away, regardless of ability to pay.
